A real drop is below the store's lowest price in the 30 days before the change, not below the "compare at" price printed beside it.

How we decide a drop is real
What we read. Every day at 08:00 UTC we read the price, the list price and the stock that each brand store and retailer publishes in its own product data for every model we track there: 53 prices across 45 mowers and 10 sellers today. Every read is kept, starting Oct 1, and a change is dated by the first read that saw it.
The test. A price is a real drop when it is below the lowest price the same store charged in the 30 days before it changed. That is the reference EU law sets for any advertised price reduction (Directive 98/6/EC, Article 6a), and it rules out raising a price for a few days and then "cutting" it back. A price back down after a rise is shown as what it is, never as a deal.
List prices. Most stores print a "compare at" price. It is the store's own label: we show it, and we count a saving against it only when a read found the store charging it. Of the 29 prices that show one today, our reads found the store charging it for 3.
What is not here. Amazon shows its own current price on its listing, so each mower's page links to the listing instead. Stores whose prices we check by hand appear on the price list with the date of each check.
